Description
This session is a discussion about parenting while transitioning from a binary/orthodox way of thinking to a progressive/open way of thinking. When we decided to step away from the traditional Latter-day Saint way of living, we found that there were things we wanted to keep such as family time at the end of the night. We traded scripture reading for books about psychology, honesty, world religions, and maturation. Coming from an organized routine of family prayer and family Home Evenings on Monday nights made this transition easy to implement. We will share anecdotes from our experience as parents and provide commentary on how this shift in thinking has changed the way that we approach parenting.
