Description

Restorationists have a concept of Satan being bound for 1000 years, ushering in an era of peace. But what might “binding Satan” look like? This session proposes that this work starts with a radical (and practical) compassion that atheists, theists, and everyone in between are called to engage in. This work looks like diverse individuals and groups moving toward dialectical synthesis where possible and holding tension with integrity where synthesis is not possible. It includes new systemic forms and processes that incentivize people over profit, emotional maturity over reactivity, psychological flexibility over rigidity, dialogue over debate, technological humility and wisdom over hubris and addiction, and deep reconciliation with all living systems and oppressed peoples.

This presentation will have an experiential component.
