Are We Grown Up Yet? Relating Across Gender Barriers So, now that we’re adults, are we thought of as ‘boys “ and “girls,” as “ladies” and “gentlemen,” or, in an LDS context, as “brothers” and “sisters”? Or, are we more accurately men and women? This panel will discuss how labeling ourselves and each other with euphemisms can heighten gender tensions, isolate and infantilize the sexes and erect barriers to genuine adult communication and understanding.
