Latter-day Saints are frequently taught that the first commandment God gave to Adam and Eve was to “be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth” (Genesis 1:28). Psalm 127:3 declares, “Children are a heritage of the Lord.” Many Church leaders have taught that those who are physically able have the sacred responsibility to bear and raise children. However, many Mormons still practice birth control.This presentation will examine conventional and alternative birth control methods.
