While the Church’s message increasingly emphasizes the importance of the nuclear family, the number of single adults in the Church is higher than ever before. The panel’s title does not mean that we live in a church where being single does not produce angst. Indeed, nearly all Mormon singles experience some kind of pressure or anxiety. The question is how does one get past the pressure in order to find peace and fulfillment as both a single and a Mormon? Panelists will discuss their experiences as singles in the Church and their strategies for moving through and beyond angst.
