Elna Baker (born January 1982) is a writer and performer of humorous stories. Her stories have been featured on radio programs such as This American Life, The Moth, BBC Radio 4 and Studio 360. In October 2009, Penguin Books published her book The New York Regional Mormon Singles Halloween Dance, which chronicles her experience as a young, single Mormon living in New York City.
Mindy Gledhill’s musical journey has led her all over the map— from recording a wildly successful independent album in Los Angeles with Juno-nominated producer Stuart Brawley (Lenka, Emmy Rossum) to creating her latest solo record in the creative epicenter of East Nashville with acclaimed producer Cason Cooley (Sixpence None the Richer, Katie Herzig, Matthew Perryman Jones). Sparks flew when she was featured on a Grammy-nominated album (Kaskade’s Fire & Ice), and when her songs debuted on primetime TV (So You Think You Can Dance, Bones, 20/20 The Good Wife), and in commercials (LG Phones, Fruit of the Loom’s Olympic ad campaign 2012 and State Farm Insurance’s Super Bowl Campaign 2014). Her most recent creative endeavor has been the release of an electronic project called Hive Riot, which was launched as a platform to raise awareness and funds for LGBTQIA rights. Coincidentally, Hive Riot won “Best Pop Album” at the Independent Music Awards in 2016.
Every year, the Sunstone symposium ends with a closing banquet called a “Linger-Longer.” We invite participants to join us for this event to hear Elna and Mindy perform. Tickets are $18 per person (in addition to a regular conference ticket).
