Investigate the folklore, mythology and traditions around the forbidden fruit. Release guilt and shame and embrace pleasure while we explore and score a variety of delicious chocolates – perhaps you will discover a new favorite.

We will do a painting of a piece of fruit on a 8″ x 8″ stretched canvas. No talent or experience required. All materials are provided.

Come explore the meaning of forbidden fruit with Sunstone at our painting workshop! All supplies for this workshop are included in your registration, but you should feel free to bring a sample fruit to paint or a treat to share if you would like. Sample chocolate, and paint your own forbidden fruit on an 8×8 stretched canvas with our art instructor Jeannine Luke.

Jeannine Luke is a professional artist originally from Napa, California. While raising 5 kids over 3 decades (four free spirits and an accountant), she kept her sanity (or tried to) by painting and escapes to the ocean and Italy. Jeannine shows her work and teaches locally in Orange County, California. Meanwhile, her (adult) kids and her artwork can be found mostly in California and in a few other interesting places as well. Jeannine has taught and exhibited in Florence, Italy, and two of her paintings live on permanent exhibition in a museum nearby in Fiesole. Jeannine has good stories and spoke at Sunstone’s 2018 Symposium on the topic “From Temple to Tinder: My journey through Mormonism and Beyond.” Joy is her favorite word and she is most complemented on her contagious laughter. Jeannine paints every day and lives in a cute little cottage close to the ocean in Laguna Beach.
