Rebecca Salti will provide symposium attendees a first-hand account of the life and struggles of many women and children in the Middle East. Among many other accomplishments, Salti is well-known for her work over the past twenty years helping mothers in the Bani Hamida tribe revive ancient Bedouin weaving traditions and turn the products they create into a vital income-generator for this nomadic tribe.
