The very first issue of Sunstone included a humorous article about gospel debates. After that, Sunstone became the premier publisher of Mormon humor for the next fifty years. This session will present a history of cartoons in Sunstone—from Calvin Grondahl to Pat Bagley to Jett Atwood—and show how these humorists changed the LDS Church, one joke at a time.
