Mormons in Joseph Smith’s day, and today, believe that Joseph had supernatural powers. In this presentation, Dr. Randy Bell and Radio Free Mormon argue that Joseph Smith used principles of hypnotism, as well as other principles of stage magic, to induce his followers to believe in his prophetic mantle.
