Who or what is the ultimate authority when it comes to defining gospel vocabulary? Dead prophets? Living prophets? Christ? The Holy Ghost? Scripture? Self? Flipping a coin? In the case of a contradiction, whose words take precedence? Many believers, in and out of the so-called “Remnant Movement,” are returning to the scriptures to define important vocabulary such as church, gospel, doctrine, faith, repentance, baptism, priesthood, salvation, and a host of terms previously misunderstood.
