While Anglophone Mormons developed a habit of media communication over the years, their Francophone counterparts lagged behind. Few could afford the printed media, nor did they have much training in discussing topics as personal as belief or as sensitive as religious history, and they feared criticism if they tried. Hence, Francophone Mormons remained virtually silent until the Internet became more accessible to them. This paper will explore Mormon Francophone participation in and production of websites, blogs, and virtual discussion groups to present their beliefs and engage in constructive dialogues with each other and with non-Mormons.
