Speaker: Philip Barlow The Public Thought of Elbert Peck Abstract: Elbert Peck has been both celebrated and vilified for championing an open forum for the exploration of Mormon ideas, history, and culture. In this discussion, however, I believe the depth, breadth, and quality of his mind has not yet been fully appreciated. These brief reflections will take stock of his mind as disclosed in his writings, especially his ‘ Sunstone’ editorials.
