Sunstone Symposium Germany 2017 “Here I Stand” – 500 Years of Reformation:
The mission of the Sunstone Europe Symposium 2017 is to be a forum of thought and experience within the Restoration movement by focusing on the various impacts of the Reformation on the Restoration.
During this conference we wish to explore the diverse Protestant heritages of the Restoration and how the various Restoration denominations deal with those heritages.
As both the Reformation as well as the Restoration hold rich meaning to inform the individual faith journey, this Sunstone conference will also be an opportunity for healing through discussion and the building of places for dialogue related to the topics of grace, peace and justice.

10.30 a.m. Lindsay Hansen Park – Reforming the Restoration: How Fundamentalists Are Shaping Modern Mormonism
11.30 p.m. – Dr. David Conley Nelson – Mormonism’s Forgotten Schindler: Why Max Reschke Remains an Unknown Hero of Resistance to the Third Reich
Lunch Break
2.00 p.m. – Elray Henriksen – The Book of Mormon and the Ecumenical Call to Just Peace: a Community of Christ member’s reading
3.00 p.m. – Joey S Williams – “Community of Christ Sings” – Hymns from Reformation to Restoration – a path of transformation
3.00 p.m. – Dr. Russell Osmond – “The “I” in Religious Experience since 1517: How the “I” in “Here ‘I’ Stand” links ALL Restoration movements.
Afternoon break
5.00 p.m. – Prof. Dr. Margaret Toscano – Mormon Feminism: Agency and Activism
6.00 p.m. – Dr. Thomas Murphy – Laban’s Wraith: Writing, Reformation, & Restoration.
Dinner
Camp Fire Activity (Hosted by Joey S Williams) if it rains we will host an inside activity

The 2017 Sunstone Germany Conference will be held at the FFS DORFWEIL, FamilienFerienStätte Dorfweil (Village Dorfweil).

Please register for the event until Friday August 25 so that we can plan and inform the venue.
Please do not check in before 6pm on Friday.
The venue is in the beautiful Taunus Hills country north of Frankfurt. You may have to provide for a commute to Dorfweil from the nearest public transport. The best way to get to Ferienstätte Dorfweil is by car.
