Mesa has been home to Mormons for over a century. The LDS temple in Mesa was one of the first to be constructed by the church. Announced in 1919, only a few years after Arizona had achieved statehood, it was one of 3 temples announced and constructed to serve outlying Latter-day Saint settlements in the early part of the century.
As Arizona has changed over the years, so too has Mormonism in Arizona, creating exciting new opportunities and experiences for those rooted in the LDS Faith. Join Sunstone on February 20, 2016 as we discuss all the different paths Mormons in Arizona are taking.
