The struggle between the arts and the LDS institution have frustrated, polarized, and ostracized many. In sharing the ways I work through these tensions, I will touch on everything from how the brain works, to the church as a “mass movement,” to the bases upon which the arts and institutions are formed. I will also speak about practical uses and expectations for art within the Church.
