All the scriptures that refer to turning hearts are used to support genealogy and temple work, but I think there is a more extensive message. The turning hearts verses have become, to me, some of the fundamental scriptures about the Atonement, especially at the level at which we are asked to live it in this world. The benefits and the consequences of how we choose to live the Atonement have become an interesting part of my scripture reading. Far more is at stake than getting my family group sheets filled out.
