BYU professor Steven Peck will speak about the relationship between Mormonism and environmental stewardship.
Sunday November 1
343 N. Third West, Salt Lake City
Despite abundant doctrines that suggest that Mormons should have a deep responsibility for the care and preservation of nature, they have been accused, not without cause, of being uninterested in environmental concerns. I explore some of the reasons why this perception might be so entrenched both in and out of the Church and offer suggestions for a healthier LDS relationship with environmentalism. Reverence for nature might be the best place to start.
Speaker: STEVEN PECK, CHUCK SCHOFIELD
