GREAT MOVIES THAT HAVE EXPANDED MY RELIGIOUS WORLD, 2.0 For many of us, movies not only entertain but can also change how we see and experience life and the world. From watching a film, we can feel cleansed, live without guilt, or be more selfless. Last year’s “Great Movies . . .” panel featured an august panel of forty- and fifty-something cinephiles who picked such films as Lawrence of Arabia, It’s A Wonderful Life, Local Hero, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Grapes of Wrath, Fiddler on the Roof, and Schindler’s List. What films will this panel of Generation X film aficionados add to the list and why? Come watch film clips and hear them discuss favorite movies that have expanded the way they view religion and spirituality.
