MAKING SAINTS AND SOLDIERS

The just-released film Saints and Soldiers (Utah release, 6 August) represents one of the most ambitious attempts at filmmaking by an LDS director and producer. The film dramatizes the true story of a small band of soldiers, survivors of the Malmedy Massacre during the Battle of the Bulge, fighting their way through the harsh Belgium winter in the Ardennes forest. The soldiers work tirelessly to smuggle essential intelligence to the Allies, all the while forced to evade German troops. The filmmakers will discuss the making of the film and the inspiration for the story, and will answer audience questions.
